Gaussian splatting? Mind blowing!
Always on the lookout for the most innovative technologies: a tech-savvy team from Kaeding Anderson visited the newly opened Kreativinstitut OWL (KIO) in Detmold.
The KreativInstitut OWL is a unique association in Germany, consisting of the University of Paderborn, the Detmold University of Music and the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences. Creative skills from various disciplines are combined here.
The KIO presented a number of exciting techniques to the participants, including Gaussian Splatting and the Body Scanner for X-Reality applications. These technologies at the intersection of creativity and digital innovation provided us with a lot of practical application examples that we can integrate into our future projects.
Gaussian splatting, a technique for improving image quality and efficiency in digital image processing, opens up whole new possibilities for creating visual content that is quite stunning. The introduction to X-Reality applications – a fusion of virtual, augmented and mixed reality – offered insights into experiences that have the potential to redefine the way brands interact with their audiences.
“The visit to the KIO was an exceptional opportunity to expand our knowledge and see how these new technologies can shape the landscape of the advertising and creative industries,” says Norman Krüger, filmmaker at Kaeding Anderson. “We are excited about the possibilities that Gaussian Splatting and X-Reality offer for our clients and their campaigns and look forward to integrating these innovative approaches into our work.”
