sagner-heinze and Klinikum Lippe win “Germany’s Best Hospital Website 2012” competition

This year there was a new record number of participants with a total of 611 clinics registered from all over Germany. The high-caliber jury filtered out the best clinic homepage in a multi-stage evaluation process.

The homepage of Klinikum Lippe, developed by sagner-heinze, took first place, making it “Germany’s best hospital homepage 2012”.

The award ceremony took place on the evening of November 15, 2012 in the “Entscheiderlounge” at the world’s largest event for the medical industry, the Medica trade fair in Düsseldorf.

Managing Director Peter Schwarze and Marketing Manager Petra Rosin traveled to the event on behalf of Klinikum Lippe, while Managing Director Tobias Heinze and the web designer responsible for the project, Kai Niemeier, traveled to sagner-heinze to accept the glass trophy for first place.

Tobias Heinze (sagner-heinze Werbeagentur GmbH) is delighted with the competition win: “We worked on the new website with a large project team for almost a whole year together with the hospital before it went online. With several thousand pages of content and around 20,000 real visitors per month, the project was therefore a very special challenge. Now, of course, we are delighted that this work has been rewarded with victory in this important competition.”

About the competition:
Germany’s largest and most prestigious competition of its kind has been initiated under the patronage of Novartis Pharma since 2003. The German Center for Medical Marketing is responsible for the evaluation process according to long-established scientific criteria.
The very high number of participants in the 2012 competition – 611 clinics – clearly demonstrates the importance of online marketing in the hospital sector. All types of clinics took part in the nationwide comparison: from specialist or private clinics to regional hospitals and university hospitals.

As part of the competition, the homepage of Klinikum Lippe was awarded the“imedON certificate” for a particularly patient-friendly website. In 2009, companies from the medical industry, doctors’ representatives and university research institutions founded the “imedON” initiative with the aim of increasing the patient-friendliness of medical websites.
