Appetite for reusable: when humor wins

The reusable food and drink obligation for take-away food and drinks introduced at the start of 2023 poses a major challenge for many cities. This also applies to the city of Wolfenbüttel: how do you manage to switch to sustainable reusable systems with 53,000 inhabitants? This requires a convincing campaign that not only inspires and motivates users but also the catering establishments to get involved – so let’s go!

Visual recognition and clarity of content

To give the campaign a suitable framework, a campaign concept with a high recognition value was developed under the name #meinmehrweg.

Colors, graphic elements and reduced typographic campaign images ensure strong perception in the out-of-home media environment. Communicating the facts through ironic and irritating headlines increases the recall value and contributes to the clarity of the content.

Visible throughout the city

The cross-media campaign ensures visibility throughout the city – and not just analog.

In addition to traditional out-of-home media, digital flanking through radio spots and social media ads also ensures further attention. Through concerted media planning and project coordination, all relevant channels are developed and used in parallel.

Wolfenbüttel, join in!

Motivation is everything! The “reusable set” campaign was planned as a direct incentive. A branded bag as well as a shopping voucher and a bag for the safe transportation of the reusable bowls and cups make a convincing give-away. On-site, the businesses are supported with POS measures such as floor graphics or advertising posters.

“In the agency, we have found a competent partner who has implemented our ideas and wishes effectively. Planning and management were always on schedule and we were therefore able to successfully complete our project on the planned date.”
